Cory gains a Master of Sciences
Cory has successfully completed Environmental Decision Making programme from the Open University. This was been established to meet the challenges of environmental decision making in the context of sustainable development. It is designed to meet the needs of specialists, managers for postgraduate level environmental education that can encompass the complexities of these challenges. Everyday concerns of environmental protection, natural resource management and waste disposal, and rapidly changing environmental legislation and policy are considered in global and local contexts. The courses covers the skills needed to unpack the issues, introduce environmental management systems and participate creatively in the process of making environmental decisions, in all sectors of society. Cory completed the course with his research project examining the costs and benefits of mitigation work for great crested newts at over 40 development sites across the UK.
