Nepal trekking back on course Super trekking venue, Nepal, is back on track to invite tourists back after years of troubles. Cory has spent three weeks trekking in northern Nepal around the Tibetan border around the Langtang Valley. This included climbing the trekking peak of Yala Peak (5500m) and the remote pass of Ganja La (5100m).
These are among the most beautiful peaks in the world; the amphitheatre of 6-7,000m summits is awesome there are fluted slopes, massive gorged glaciers and bearded vultures flying high over the valleys.
In mid-November the Maoists and Central Government signed a treaty to work together in government. This should reopen much of the country to safe trekking with out extra ‘trekking fees’ or threats to visitors.
Anyone interested in visiting Nepal and trekking in the mountains should contact Cory via the contacts page.
