Introduction to Ornithology
Cory is delivering this fascinating introduction to the behaviour, physiology and ecology of birds. He has developed a blended learning package over the last year with the University. This innovative course consists of study days, field trips, online learning and study packs, with tutor support integrated throughout.
Participants investigate how and why British birds migrate and see how they have adapted for flight and locomotion. They shall examine bird behaviour in detail, particularly in relation to their choice of habitats, breeding and feeding patterns. The course will also consider threats to the UK bird population and the role of various conservation organisations which are committed to their survival.
Cory is a highly experienced and enthusiastic environmentalist and whether or not you have any experience in ornithology, you are bound to be inspired by this course. This course can be counted towards the Lancaster University part-time Certificate in Ecological and Environmental Studies.
